Early Childhood Development and Education
The major provides in-depth, foundational knowledge on how children develop that prepares ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµapps to become effective educators. Our ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµapps engage in coursework, service learning, and field study that provides them with an understanding of children and their needs within and outside of the classroom. This major provides guidelines for course selection that will help ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµapps move toward becoming a licensed educator and contributing to the learning and growth of children.
Career Options
The major prepares ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµapps to pursue licensure to teach through an accredited graduate program. Our ¼â½ÐÊÓÆµapps also pursue careers such as:Â
